The Center for Military-Connected Students is a central hub of information and support. We strive to provide comprehensive assistance to all military-connected students. The dedicated CMCS team supports students in accessing their VA education and Cal Vet Fee Waiver Benefits. The center also helps in accessing campus and community resources and provides hands-on leadership opportunities while supporting each student's individual academic and personal growth. Drop by the center and check out our lounge area, or join in on any of our upcoming events. Goals: Help all military-connected Mustangs access available campus and community resources. Provide well-trained, expert educational benefits professionals to assist students in navigating military benefits. Help all military-connected Mustangs to succeed by building a supportive and connected community. Help Cal Poly faculty and staff understand the unique needs of a student veteran or military dependent. Provide all military-connected Mustangs with the tools they need to be Ready Day One. These include study space, tutoring, advising, and providing substantive career programming. Expand industry partnerships. Support the university goals of an inclusive and diverse campus through increased enrollment of military-connected students. Provide professional development opportunities. Increase available scholarships and grants for military-connected students. Make sure to look for our breakout sessions, booth, and events at Open House, SLO Days and Week of Welcome. Our goal is to assist all military-connected students in becoming a successful Mustang. We're looking forward to meeting all incoming veterans, active duty, reserves, and military dependent students and are available to assist with all VA, TA and Cal Vet Fee waiver questions and paperwork.
